A recent New York Times article entitled “Ritalin Gone Wrong” will hopefully bring some attention to the very real issue that “Putting children on drugs does nothing to change the conditions that derail their development in the first place.”

The article outlines how attention-deficit drugs only increase concentration in the short term but when given to children over long periods of time, they neither improve school achievement nor reduce behavior problems.
